According to the information provided by the District Meteorological Office, 50.5 millimeters of rainfall was recorded in the district from 12 noon on Wednesday to 12 noon today, Thursday, which is less than the last two days. However, as the Feni-Parshuram regional road is submerged, all types of small and big vehicles are closed for the third day. Due to this, communication with Feni district headquarters via the road routes of Fulgazi and Parshuram upazilas is cut off.

When asked, Feni Meteorological Office Officer-in-Charge (Senior Observer) Md. Mojibur Rahman told Prothom Alo that there was less rain today compared to the last two days. Due to this, the situation may improve.

Meanwhile, the water of the Muhuri River was flowing below the danger level at 12 noon today. The danger level of the river is 12.55 centimeters. However, today it has stood at 10.55 centimeters. Feni Water Development Board Sub-Divisional Engineer Md. Abul Kashem told Prothom Alo that the river water has dropped below the danger level due to the lack of heavy rainfall and less water coming from upstream. District administration sources said that in the last three days, 20 places in the Fulgazi and Parashuram sections of the bordering Muhuri, Kahua, and Silonia rivers have broken, flooding 27 villages in the two upazilas. Of these, 12 parts of the embankment in Parashuram upazila and 8 parts in Fulgazi upazila collapsed. Since there has been no heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours, the water in the Muhuri, Kahua, and Silonia rivers has also started to recede. However, although the water has receded somewhat from Fulgazi and Parashuram upazilas, several areas in Chagalnaiya and Sadar upazilas are being flooded again. To avoid accidents, 31,000 customers in Parashuram and Fulgazi upazilas were without electricity until last night. However, electricity connections are being restored in various places from this morning.
